Gifts of the Angels is a heavenly anthology of celestial music drawn from 40 years of Steven Halpern's iconic career. No words, but a wordless choir elevates each track, which also feature Rhodes electric piano, harp and flute. Celestial Prophecy," is a nicely detailed (which is not to say complex) excursion on solo piano that briefly stirs the senses, and the title track from Higher Ground is a delicate space-music standout.
