Mastodon is the only box set released by the American heavy metal band of the same name. It features all of their material released by Relapse Records plus Blood Mountain which was originally released on Reprise Records. The box set was limited to 1100 copies and all records were pressed on 180 gram vinyl. The box set was released by Relapse records with no input from the band. Blood Mountain is the third full-length studio album and major label debut by American heavy metal band Mastodon. The recording of the album finished in April 2006 and it was released on September 12 in the UK and September 12, 2006 in North America through Reprise Records.
