Blue Tears was a hard rock band from Jackson, Tennessee that enjoyed some short-lived fame in the late-80s. However, the group failed to find significant commercial success, due to the wave of alternative/grunge music, and the group disbanded in 1993 as the members became involved in other projects. The band reformed in 2006 and released a new album. The band was permanently dissolved after lead singer Gregg Fulkerson died on April 14, 2009.

96 Tears is the debut album by the American garage rock band ? and the Mysterians, released in 1966. It peaked at number 66 on Billboard's Pop Albums chart. The single "96 Tears" reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on October 29, prior to release of the album. The album and the single "96 Tears" were both on the charts for fifteen weeks, while the single "I Need Somebody" was on the charts for ten weeks.

Late last year, Tears For Fears released I Love You But I’m Lost, their first new song in 13 years. Even more new music from the band is on the way, as the new wave veterans have revealed plans to release their first studio album in 14 years. According to a statement, Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith are currently finishing the album with an aim to release it in the fall. Dates have been rescheduled for early 2019.
