Iron Man" is a song written and performed by the English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, released on their 1970 album Paranoid. The lyrics tell the story of a man who time travels into the future and sees the apocalypse. In the process of returning to the present, he is turned into steel by a magnetic storm. He is rendered mute, unable verbally to warn people of his vision of impending destruction. His attempts to communicate are ignored and mocked.

Now the time is here for Iron Man to spread fear Vengeance from the grave Kills the people he once saved. Nobody wants him They just turn their heads Nobody helps him Now he has his revenge. Heavy boots of lead fills his victims full of dread Running as fast as they can Iron Man lives again!

Produced by Rodger Bain. Electric Funeral Lyrics. Robot minds of robot slaves Lead them to atomic graves Plastic flowers, melting sun Fading moon falls upon Dying world of radiation Victims of mad frustration Burning globe of obscene fire Like electric funeral pyre
