Description

Track 2 from their album "Music from Big Pink" (1968). Composed by Robbie Robertson.

Kingdom Come : Kingdom Come,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен.

Kingdom Come is the debut album by German/US hard rock band Kingdom Come. The album reached Number 12 on the . Billboard 200 and obtained Gold certification from the RIAA. Lenny Wolf – lead vocals, producer. Danny Stag – lead guitar. Rick Steier – rhythm guitar, keyboards. Johnny B. Frank – bass. James Kottak – drums. Bob Rock - producer, engineer, mixing at Electric Lady Studios, New York City. Tim Crich - engineer. Ken Steiger - mixing assistant.

Kingdom Come marked the first band where Wolf sang without playing guitar. The frontman later admitted that, for a while, it was a very awkward adjustment. In 1988, the band released its debut LP, Kingdom Come. The band's first single, "Get It On," was a big enough hit on AOR stations (most requested song for 6 weeks), that the band's eponymous debut went gold the day it was shipped (610,000 units sold). With a new lineup, Kingdom Come managed one more international release on PolyGram, an album entitled Hands of Time in 1991, co-writing with harpist/songwriter Carol Tatum (Angels of Venice), which was recorded with several session guitarists and drummers, including future Poison guitarist Blues Saraceno, and former Dancer drummer Bam Bamm Shibley, with Lenny Wolf himself playing the bass.

1991 - Hands Of Time. 1995 - Twlight Cruiser.

All the predictable items are here and the album tracks are well-chosen, and it is a good representation of the band, worth the time of listeners who want a smartly assembled anthology. The 2000 Greatest Hits gets the edge for casual fans, since it has 20 tracks on one disc, yet this remains worthwhile for listeners who want a fairly comprehensive, thorough anthology.

Kingdom Come shipped gold (500,000 copies), before the label or the band itself were able to discuss the first single. They toured throughout Europe opening for the English band called "Magnum", while the news from the states kept on getting more and more exciting by the minute. Timing could not have been better and Kingdom Come ended up on the first American tour named "Monsters of Rock", playing with Van Halen, Scorpions, Metallica and Don Dokken. Besides having to sing at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, we had a fantastic time

June 26, 2018: Hard rock band Kingdom Come was formed in 1987 and was quickly signed to Polydor Records. They released their first single Get It On which had a stranglehold on AOR radio in early 1988, prompting their self-titled debut album to ship gold. The quintet, comprised of guitarists Danny Stag and Rick Steier, bassist Johnny B. Frank, drummer James Kottak, and singer Lenny Wolf, took to the road immediately as part of the North American Monsters of Rock Tour alongside Van Halen, Scorpions, Metallica, and Dokken

Kingdom Come are an American/German heavy metal/hard rock band that originally formed in 1987. Fronted by singer Lenny Wolf who was their singer and principle songwriter until their hiatus in 2016. In 1988, the band released its debut LP, Kingdom Come which shot them to international fame and they became one of the most renowned rock bands in the world. Again met with huge acclaimed from fans and critics alike, it sold around the world in huge quantities, but as the band were about the tour the album, they imploded and dramatically split up. The album spawned three singles – ‘Do You Like It’ and ‘Overrated’ but a third ‘Stargazer’ was pressed but never was officially released. This newly remastered version of this album contains the bonus tracks ‘Slow Down ’, ‘The Perfect ‘O’ ’, ‘The Wind ’ and ‘In A Word from Lenny ’.

This was also released as a 2CD in a "fatbox"...the copy I had was a mispress. One of the discs played an Aretha Franklin best of.
