It features orchestral and choir arrangements by David Campbell. The album reached No. 8 on the Billboard 200 album sales chart, No. 50 on the UK album sales chart, and No. 30 on Australian music chart.

The Neil Diamond 50th anniversary Album inspired me to do so. I have a number of Neil Diamond greatest hits or best of albums and while they are good, they all lack something. Some have live songs rather than the original hit song. Some sets are missing songs that I like. This is album is about as perfect as one could ever want. Every song is the original song, many being the hit single version. The remastering is amazing; these songs never sounded better. I recommend this three CD album to all Neil Diamond fans. Meanwhile, I was pleased that Neil Diamond chose to include some of his lesser known singles and album tracks.
