Flaming Galah is a music studio album recording by FRATERNITY (Eclectic Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 1972 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Only for completionists (11%). What a lazy second effort. Four of the ten tracks are re-recordings of tracks from the first album, and a fifth is a re-recording of a single they released a year earlier.

Flaming Galah is Australian rock band Fraternity's second and final studio album, released in 1972. This album differs musically from their previous effort, Livestock, which consisted mostly of a progressive and psychedelic sound. For Flaming Galah, the band moved in a more blues/boogie rock direction

Livestock is the first album by Australian rock band Fraternity, released in 1971. Livestock is a largely progressive and psychedelic album, and was originally released on the Sweet Peach label, one of only ten albums ever released on it. Livestock was re-released for the first time on CD in 1998 with an alternative cover and three bonus tracks. Livestock" (Mick Jurd, John Bisset) – 3:40. Summerville" (Bruce Howe, Sam See) – 4:22. Raglan's Folly" (M. Jurd, Bon Scott) – 6:02.

By the album's release in early 1971, Fraternity relocated to Adelaide and lived on a farm. They signed with a new manager, Hamish Henry, and issued a new single, "Livestock" in January. They followed with their cover of "Seasons of Change" in March. They recorded their second album, Flaming Galah, produced by Grape Productions, which appeared in April 1972. By that time, the band had taken their trip to London and attempted to crack the United Kingdom market. Bissett left to return to Australia and was followed out of the band by See who rejoined The Flying Circus (now based in Canada).

AC/DC's subsequent album, Back in Black, was released only five months later, and was a tribute to Scott In the July 2004 issue of Classic Rock, Scott was rated as number one in a list of the "100 Greatest Frontmen of All Time"  . Scott moved to Adelaide in 1970 and joined the progressive rock band Fraternity. Fraternity released the LPs Livestock and Flaming Galah before touring the UK in 1973, where they changed their name to Fang. During this time they played support slots for Status Quo and Geordie, whose front man Brian Johnson would eventually succeed Scott as the lead singer of AC/DC after his death
