Jul 9, 2019- Psychemagik does it again! The UK duo have come full circle and complete the "Magik" trilogy started with Magik Cyrkles and Magik Sunrise with part one of Magik Sunrise. Once again Psychemagik prove to be in a class all their own with an exquisite compilation of balearic, chillout, and outsider obscurities that will transport you to that remote island paradise in your mind. I don't know where they've dug up these gems, but I can assure you that it would cost a small (or most likely big) fortune. Chayell It's Never Too Hot Vinyl 12". To read someone defining this "tropical music" makes me laugh. If this is a summer sound for you, probably you've spent your younghood by a grey baltic beach full of plastic and garbage.Good, but not great.

Great, forgot how good the song actually is as I was updating my collection came across the original 12". Surprised to see it go as high as it does though; back in the day not immediately my favorite track of the period but aged well compared to others.

Trivia: Around 15 copies of this record disappeared from the marketplace within a minute while DJ Harvey was playing it live on Boiler Room. Soon after that the price naturally went up. "Beach" is a great tropical track - You can still find it on a "A Split Second" release with vocals included. Check "Drinking Sand":http://www.discogs.com/A-Split-Second-Smell-Of-Buddha/release/40380

Beach is a cover of Drinking Sand, on the former a girl do the vocals on the latter it's a guy and also the lyrics are different.
