Chisel was a punk rock band from the United States that existed between 1990 and 1997 Contents. All Day. 3 Set You Free. It was followed in 1996 by 8 . All Day, an album of all-new material recorded in the basement studio of Velocity Girl guitarist Archie Moore and produced by the band itself. By this time, Chisel was touring as a support act for bands like Fugazi, Velocity Girl, Blonde Redhead and Tuscadero. Following the release of 8 . Set You Free

An astonishing leap from their already realized earlier singles, 8 . All Day finds Chisel branching out further into their mod-rock roots, with overwhemingly favorable results. Their trademark stripped-down production is still evident, but the addition of vocal harmonies on cuts such as "Hip Straights" and "Citizen of Venus" up the pop ante considerably. The musicianship is stronger, too, as evidenced by the morose guitar twang of "The Great Wall of China," and the instrumentals "Overture" and "Je M'Appelle Zero.

All Day is the fifth studio album by American musician Gregg Gillis, known by his stage name Girl Talk. The album was originally released as a free digital download by Illegal Art on November 15, 2010. Gillis composed the album using overlapping samples of 372 songs by other artists.
