Carolina Calvache is a jazz pianist and composer from Colombia. Calvache was born in Cali, Colombia, and studied piano from the age of 6. She became influenced by jazz when she was fourteen 14, particularly Miles Davis, Tito Puente, and Chick Corea. After performing locally, she moved to New York City. Her debut album Sotareno was released by Sunnyside in 2014. Later in the year, she performed at the first Women in Latin Jazz Festival in the city.
