Well today I'm excited because.
Worlds Apart is the third full-length studio album by Australian metalcore band Make Them Suffer. It was released on the 28th of July in 2017. It is their first release through Rise Records and includes the single Fireworks. Worlds Apart Q&A. Writers Sean Harmanis. Lead Vocals Sean Harmanis. More Make Them Suffer albums.
Australia’s Make Them Suffer refuse to stagnate. With their astoundingly great third record, Worlds Apart, the band have cemented their ability to continually reinvent themselves successfully. Ultimately, Make Them Suffer’s third record may go down as the best metalcore record of 2017. The band have proven, no matter what their chosen style, they are equally powerful and effective in crafting weighty heavy tunes that stay with the listener. It’s all topped off by the most compelling song in the band’s catalog – Save Yourself – an uplifting, powerful ode to pushing through with the things that fulfill you. With Worlds Apart, Make Them Suffer are clearly on another level. Purchase the album here.

This is basically just generic sort of metalcore'ish sounding, i don't know what to even call this. It is NOT symphonic in the least bit, there is WAAAAAY to much clean vocals, and the haunting sort of melancholy sound that made the first two albums so incredible is just completely absent in this album. I still LOVE Make Them Suffer, and will continue to listen to them, but this album was just a swing and a miss.
Make Them Suffer is an Australian heavy metal band from Perth, currently signed to Rise Records. Their debut album Neverbloom peaked at No. 56 on the ARIA Album charts in June 2012, while its follow up Old Souls debuted at No. 30 upon release in May 2015. After the band signed with Rise, the label released an expanded version of Old Souls in August 2016, containing also the EP Lord of Woe (originally self-released in 2010) and a new track, "27".

There’s something to be said for bands that evolve with each record. Perhaps Worlds Apart’s greatest strength lies in its concision. Clocking in at a tight 40 minutes, it never overstays its welcome or gives in to the chugging monotony that occasionally plagued its predecessors. In fact, the record is almost completely devoid of the down-tuned breakdowns and chugs of the mainstream deathcore scene, occasionally even venturing into progressive death metal territory.

Perth sextet Make Them Suffer legitimised their symphonic deathcore tag with the release of 2010’s blistering Lord Of Woe EP and their full-length debut Neverbloom’s propensity for eloquent gloom. Granted, Worlds Apart is not the frostbitten maelstrom on which MTS established themselves, but any diehards blanching at this record’s euphoric eclecticism will certainly find solace among the intermittent flurries of blastbeats and enamel-peeling screams elsewhere. These guys are suffering for their art successfully.
