Kent's final volume of James Carr spans nearly 25 years of sessions and compiles all his remaining studio recordings. The 24 track CD includes never before reissued (and issued!) sides from James' original mid-'60s Goldwax sessions plus both sides of his lone Atlantic and River City 45s from the 1970s (and an unissued 'bonus demo' from the River City sessions)  . The name of this collection is called "My Soul is Satisfied", maybe a fitting title for a man who had died a few years before. Carr's output is limited.

James Edward Carr (June 13, 1942 – January 7, 2001), was an American rhythm and blues and soul singer, described as "one of the greatest pure vocalists that deep Southern soul ever produced. Born to a Baptist preacher's family in Coahoma, Mississippi, he moved with his parents to Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of three. Carr began singing in church, and performed in gospel groups including the Harmony Echoes, at the same time as making tables on an assembly line in Memphis.
