Split is one of the rare towns which has TWO archeology museums - another being the Museum of Croatian Archeological Monuments. One of the best historical museums we've visited. 2 Ways to experience it. Split Gallery of Fine Arts. of 26 Museums in Split. Lovely museum with best examples of great Croatian art. I I found in Museum of Senses Split new exhibits (the pool full of balls was my favourite) and a very friendly team. Museum makes me happy. Croatian Maritime Museum. One of the best museums in town and definitely one of the best to visit.
The term collegium musicum has thus come to be associated in large measure with university ensembles that perform early music, though from a historical perspective, the term need not imply any restriction in repertory. Although the Collegium Musicum (Leipzig) became the most famous, due to its association with Bach, other cities had similar institutions. The Collegium Musicum (Hamburg) was an amateur musical ensemble founded in Hamburg in the 17th century by Matthias Weckmann, as a complement to the professional Hamburger Ratsmusik.
Catalogs and collections, Musical instruments.
The date of inception of this Collegium musicum is still rather unclear, although an address book for Leipzig from 1717 refers indirectly to an approximate date: The Collegium musicum, the one usually referred to by this name, was founded by Georg Philipp Telemann, now the Capellmeister in Frankfurt am Main, and has continued to flourish for about 10 to 12 years now under. Telemann was succeeded by a Leipzig university law student, Melchior Hoffmann not only in his position as director of the Collegium musicum, but also as the Music Director of the New Church and as the managing director of the Leipzig opera.
Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum. The Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum is a mixed chorus at Harvard University, composed of roughly 50 voices from undergraduate and graduate student populations. Founded in 1971 to coincide with the coeducational merger of Harvard and Radcliffe College, Collegium drew from members of the Harvard Glee Club and the Radcliffe Choral Society to form a smaller mixed group that could represent Harvard on tours.
