The history of the Chicago Symphony Chorus began on September 22, 1957, when the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) announced that Margaret Hillis would organize and train a symphony chorus. Music Director Fritz Reiner’s original intent was to utilize the Chorus for the two weeks of subscription concerts that season, performing - George Frideric Handel’s Messiah in December and Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem in April.

Collegium Musicum is a Slovak art rock, progressive rock band formed by Marián Varga and Fedor Frešo in Czechoslovakia in late 1969, best known for their complex, predominantly instrumental compositions centred around Varga's keyboards/organ, and for their interpretations of classical works by Rimsky-Korsakov, Stravinsky, Bartók, and others.

The 100-member University Symphony Orchestra presents an ambitious season of six major concerts per year (two each quarter). Widely known for its imaginative presentations of unusual repertoire as well as for its powerful performances of major symphonic literature, the University Symphony opens each season with a costumed Halloween concert – a family-friendly event enhanced by storytelling, dancing, and special effects – and generally closes the year with a celebratory year-end collaboration with the combined choirs. USO string sections are coached by members of the Spektral Quartet, e at the University of Chicago; woodwind, brass, and percussion sections are coached by local professional musicians.

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) was founded by Theodore Thomas in 1891. The ensemble makes its home at Orchestra Hall in Chicago and plays a summer season at the Ravinia Festival. The music director is Riccardo Muti, who began his tenure in 2010. The CSO is one of five American orchestras commonly referred to as the "Big Five". In 1890, Charles Norman Fay, a Chicago businessman, invited Theodore Thomas to establish an orchestra in Chicago.

COLLEGIUM MUSICUM is a Symphonic Prog, Progressive Rock artist from Slovakia. Listen to harmony vocals in the chorus section. The next track is a psychedellic ballad about a young male who chose lie instead of truth. Musically, it is the simplest track on the album, albeit with the memorable oboe solo. Jesenne Litanie" is a pleasant pop track with harmony vocal staccatos. Collegium Musicum was one of the better Eastern European bands around. At the time when ELP albums was as rare behind the iron curtain as water in the Sahara desert, Collegium Musicium delivered the goods. And that in a manner which almost shamed Keith Emerson & Co.
