Blow by Blow is the second solo album by British guitarist Jeff Beck, released on Epic Records in 1975, and recorded in October 1974. It was an instrumental album that peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA. After the dissolution of the power trio Beck, Bogert & Appice (BBA) in spring 1974, Beck took time for session work with other groups.

Blow by Blow is Jeff Beck's 1975 solo album and considered one of his best releases among fans and colleagues was 1975. As an all-instrumental album it was a surprising commercial success, with a jazz fusion-like approach seldom seen on best-selling lists at the time. It was certified Gold in 1976.

Blow by Blow typifies Jeff Beck's wonderfully unpredictable career. Released in 1975, Beck's fifth effort as a leader and first instrumental album was a marked departure from its more rock-based predecessors. Only Max Middleton returned from Beck's previous lineups.

Blow by Blow served as a new creative peak for Beck and is, to date, his most commercially successful release. He gained fame with the Yardbirds before leaving to start the Jeff Beck Group which featured a young Rod Stewart. The album "Truth" is considered a landmark late 60's power-blues record that rivals Led Zeppelin's debut album on some levels. But, Beck's career has been a hallmark of flash over substance with one notable exception; "Blow by Blow".
