This film tells Jeff’s story from his earliest days growing up in Wallington, Surrey with his home made guitars, teenage friendship with Jimmy Page and the influences of guitarists such as Les Paul, Cliff Gallup and James Burton. With essential tracks from throughout his career it follows his journey from art school and early bands, through his various groups, musical ventures and passion for hot rods, to the release of his latest album and sell-out show at the Hollywood Bowl. We hear testimony to the genius of Jeff Beck from musicians who have recorded and played along side him such as Jimmy.

Still OnThe Run – The Jeff Beck Story follows his career from early days learning guitar solos with his friend Jimmy Page, through the Yardbirds, the Jeff Beck Group and his multifaceted solo albums. Beck’s fascination with both guitar music and hot rods is explored through interviews at home and in his workshop and his musical journey is illustrated through contributions from many of his fellow musicians and colleagues including Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, Jan Hammer, Jimmy Page, Joe Perry, Slash, Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood and more.
