Crossed Swords (1978) was Alexander and Ilya Salkind's version of Mark Twain's The Prince and the Pauper. Although not as successful as their Musketeers films, Crossed Swords did feature a stirring symphonic score by legendary composer Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia)-a delightful swashbuckling romp with multiple character themes. First time on CD. Track Listings.
Imaginative score by Maurice Jarre who includes sensible chores. Direction by Richard Fleischer is very good. This is still one of the best versions along with the starred by Errol Flynn. This entertaining movie should satisfy young and old.
