Elf: Music from the Motion Picture. Авторы текста и музыки.

The Jim Reeves story started in Panola County, Texas, in August 1923 and ended when he died in a plane crash on 31st July 1964 yet even today, half a century later, he is still a legend. The Country Music Hall of Fame, to which he was elected posthumously in 1967,made the following citation: The velvet style of Gentleman Jim Reeves was an international influence. Posterity will keep his name alive because they will remember him as one of country music s most important performers. On the downside, the song selection from track to track is sometimes not the best. Monophonic 50's honky-tonk country songs and other older mono material is interspersed with Jim's polished and intimate stereo performances from the early 1960's, which can be quite annoying.

3. An Evening Prayer. C. Gabriel Battersby, Don Grashey.

James Travis "Jim" Reeves (August 20, 1923 – July 31, 1964) was an American country and popular music singer-songwriter. With records charting from the 1950s to the 1980s, he became well known as a practitioner of the Nashville sound (a mixture of older country-style music with elements of popular music). Reeves scored his greatest success with the Joe Allison composition "He'll Have to Go". Known as "Gentleman Jim", his songs continued to chart for years after his death. Reeves died at age 40 in the crash of a private airplane.

James Travis Reeves was an American country and popular music singer-songwriter. Reeves died in the crash of his private airplane. He is a member of both the Country Music and Texas Country Music Halls of Fame. Tracklist: 1 Welcome to My World 2 Distant Drums 3 I Won't Forget You 4 I Love You Because 5 There's.

8. "I'm Gonna Change Everything". For something a little more old-fashioned, here's a song of heartbreak that's more of a Tex-Mex and honky-tonk blend than a crooner classic. Not even Luke the Drifter cried enough to water-log a carpet! 7. "I Won't Forget You". Reeves masterfully described broken-hearted despair as well as any country singer ever has on this posthumous hit, penned by the great Leon Payne-author of Hank Williams' haunting "Lost Highway. A gorgeous studio creation from '60s Nashville, this soldier's ballad with a hint of impending doom eerily became one of the singer's posthumous hits. There was a lot of sadness to go around for songs about walls, of all things, during Reeves' prime.
