David Bromberg (born September 19, 1945) is an American t, singer, and songwriter. An eclectic artist, Bromberg plays bluegrass, blues, folk, jazz, country and western, and rock and roll. He is known for his quirky, humorous lyrics, and the ability to play rhythm and lead guitar at the same time. Bromberg has played with many famous musicians, including Jerry Jeff Walker, Willie Nelson, Jorma Kaukonen, Jerry Garcia, Rusty Evans (The Deep) and Bob Dylan.

Arrangements and recordings by Eric Thompson, Dick Fegy, David Bromberg et al. are featured. There will thus be many tracks and styles to like and, probably, one or two that won't appeal. The advantage of the CD (and book) is that you get to hear and experience more than just one player's interpretation of what flatpicking is and what can be acheieved when playing with a plectrum as opposed to fingerpicking.
