CD - Steamhammer, SPV. Marooned was Sodom's second official live album, and, though originally issued internationally in 1994, it only saw a limited release in America six years later. And maybe just as well, since the disc doesn't exactly find the German thrashers at the top of their game. The recording quality is decent enough, but the track listing doesn't always represent Sodom's better moments ("Agent Orange," "Remember the Fallen," and "Tired and Red" among them), making way instead for a slew of faceless moshers from their declining years, such as "Jesus.
Marooned" is an instrumental track on Pink Floyd's 1994 album, The Division Bell. It's the only Pink Floyd track to ever win a Grammy Award. The piece was written by Richard Wright and David Gilmour. It has sounds that describe the setting as an island, such as the sounds of seagulls and waves crashing on the shore. It was composed while jamming aboard the Astoria in early 1993. Gilmour processed the guitar sound with a DigiTech Whammy pedal to pitch-shift notes entire octaves.
Made this today in one sitting! And I feel i learned a LOT from that session! I feel this is mastered louder and better than my usual :) Enjoy! ~
