Cinéma vérité in relationship to direct cinema and observational cinema. It is sometimes called observational cinema, if understood as pure direct cinema: mainly without a narrator's voice-over. There are subtle, yet important, differences among terms expressing similar concepts.

Probably the greatest rock release from 1985 that almost no one has ever heard, Cinema Verite is a simply fantastic album. Blending everything from British Invasion panache and glam influences to punk energy and back again, its cult legend was established by . DJ legend Rodney Bingenheimer.

Bereits 1922 versuchte der sowjetische Regisseur D. Here is cinéma vérité: encouraging statements of feelings, going beyond "just the facts. The camera is close-beside them, or from the rear seat of the police car. It is intimate interviewing, revealing values, ideologies, personal philosophies and thoughts. As the camera rides in this comfort zone, it both eavesdrops (direct cinema) and provokes (cinéma vérité). In traditional direct cinema, there is no narrator. Frederick Wiseman's films are well.

2nd comment: Thanks for the corrections, who ever did it. Also for the detailed credits. Sometimes the translations are a bit strange or wrong. For example a "Kunststoffrohr" is used by us not as percussion, but as reed instrument! On the other side the "Mikro(phone)" is in our case a percussion instrument.GreetingsKlaus Hoeppner (Cinéma Vérité)
