Something Else is the seventh studio album by alternative rock band The Cranberries, released on 28 April 2017, through BMG. The album, which features "unplugged" and orchestral versions of ten previously released singles and three new songs, was recorded at the Irish Chamber Orchestra Building, the University of Limerick, Ireland. The album cover is a re-enactment of the front cover image of the band's 1994 album No Need to Argue with the four members each in exactly the same positions.

Linger Lane was a session recorded outdoors in Idylwild in what looks to be the most serene Californian countryside. The chilled vibe seems to have reflected in the music too, as this album is wonderfully laid back, but still with plenty of groove and drive to stop it being too laid back. BH has dropped the vibraphone for this session and opted for the Marimba, which suits the outdoorsy feel he was probably trying to create really well.
