As some of you may know, back in 2012 the second Fatal Force album got released. The album features the great Michael Vescera on vocals. Torben really liked his work, especially the albums he did with Yngwie Malmsteen, so he asked him to take over where Mats Levén left off. Deconstructing the sound of this album is a bit sketchy as it has all the symmetrical, run-of-the-mill songwriting elements and restrained tempo to pass for the mainline rocking feel of Masterplan, Jorn, and much of the more recent offerings out of At Vance. In other words, while the style here is a subset of melodic power metal, it's the more heavy-ended, grooving variety rather than the nimble and keyboard-steeped kind embodied in bands taking cues from Stratovarius while generally avoiding lightning fast territory.
