Emotional Technology is the fourth studio album by electronica artist BT. Transitioning towards a more pop music oriented sound, the album features some of BT's more commercially successful releases, including "Somnambulist (Simply Being Loved)", "The Force of Gravity" and "Superfabulous".

Emotional Technology. Emotional Technology Tracklist.

Album by BT. The Meeting Of A Hundred Yang. Superfabulous (featuring Rose McGowan). The Force Of Gravity (featuring JC Chasez). The Last Moment Of Clarity. The Only Constant Is Change. Bonus disk on 2004 release: Kimosabe. Love In The Time Of Thieves. Simply Being Loved (Somnambulist) (Junkie Xl Vocal Mix).

The album title says it all, Emotional Technology. From his early works, Ima and ESCM, thru Movement in Still Life, BT has stood almost alone as the man who can make electronic music rock. His music has soul, it makes you want to dance, it makes you want to cry, it makes you want to listen, again and again. This album starts where Movement in Still Life ends, with the final 'comms beep' sample from Satellite. Then it's straight into a sequence of strong vocal tracks, the format of the album reflecting that successfully established with Movement in Still Life

Wow, so much hate for this album. I like it. The Only Constant Is Change is probably my favorite song by him. It's not a perfect album, but there are some gems on here.

I thought this album was AMAZING! I haven't heard a lot of his previous stuff, so I may not be as *well-versed* in BT's music as some of the other reviewers, but I loved this album.A friend gave me a copy a number of years ago and after the first listen I absolutely fell in love with it and I played the sh*t out of it. It's remained one of my favorites for YEARS.In fact, whenever people ask about the ten albums you'd take if you were stuck on a desert island, Emotional Technology is always in the top 5.So, I say, keep an open mind and give this album a listen. You may find yourself pleasantly surprised.

Ok, I'll agree with 98% of the world - the album is very, very forgettable. However, I think we all owe him forgiveness, simply because this wasn't supposed to be how it was. For those that don't know, BT's studio was robbed over Christmas 2002, and he lost everything. All recordings, gear, etc. - including all the recorded material (including collaborations with Sarah McLachlan, Peter Gabiel, Way Out West and others I think) that this album was SUPPOSED To be comprised of.So in a nutshell, this album was rushed, and his heart wasn't in it as much as the others. To top this off, he unfortunately didn't learn his lesson about backing up his work - as it apparently happened again to him in 2007!

I bought this on the day of its release, and took it back straight after listening to it, on the day if its release. It sounded like 13 tracks of something a producer like BT would probably find on some long forgotten hard drive he threw into the back of his studio after a bad night in the studio. Never touched BT again.

This album isn't as bad as some might think... the 2007 re-release at least. It starts off well, but it then it goes really poppy, really bad and boring. Poor album, ignore this

The first time I actually seen BT's photo. I never knew his hair was em so uhhmm ye, having said that this album is em so uhhmm ye really bad. seems everyone made crap like this in 2000-2004 alah Oakenfold. Only track I actually would even dare save from this mess would be The Force Of Gravity (Dylan Rhymes Push Up Mix) and its pretty mediocre at best. BT PLEASE never ever make this rubbish again and please don’t dye your hair like that it doesn’t suit you, like this music doesn’t suit you.

I found this album to be shockingly bad. A complete departure from deep, epic sounds of old, preferring to make (dare I say) over-produced, easily consumable pop-rock-electronic crossover music that I'm sure will get plenty of playback in malls and hair-product stores for years to come. The commercial nature of this album is clearly evident by the choice of guest vocalists. Forever I will wonder what the 'stolen album' sounded like. Surely not as bad as this...

Yet again BT delivers one heck of an album! Like IMA, ESCM and MISL he somehow manages to awake my deepest emotions. Some might say that he's too alternative, but he's just a man with a purpose in life; to bring the people stimulating music. To harness the variety of genres represented on this album takes none other than a genius - and that's exactly what he is!
