Recorded almost entirely live, the album consists of 11 original songs that start with the gasping (Like The) Shot Of A Gun in which they are mentioned (in the lyrics) Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and the beloved Rory Gallagher. Follow the sly Big Dave always with the harmonica in great evidence as in the whole record. The guitar of Gino Giangregorio is always inspired as in the southern Dose, the standard Just So Blues, the delicate The Fox, the dreamy Strong And Wise. The nocturnal Strong And Wise shows the deep and black voice of the singer Gaetano Quarta and a rhythm section (Luigi Catella on bass, Marco Barile on drums) in the foreground as seen in Same Ol' Sound and in the lively and fast funk The Fox (inspired by Aesop's fable "the fox and the grapes").The crepuscular I Bent Hit Too Hard (in which a piano makes its appearance), the old blues sound homage of Same Ol'Sound, the beautiful Best Friend (with his brief acoustic beginning), the wild boogie of My Bad Luck and the final rock'n'roll of VDB Boogie are an example of the versatility of a band with always clear ideas and a well-marked and straight road: first of all the passion without excess and shouted voices.
