Vancouver's Christ Church Cathedral Choir is recognized as one of the finest of its kind in Canada, having placed first in the church choir category of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's Amateur Choral Competition for 3 consecutive times (1998, 2000 and 2002) and again in 2006. In the 2006 competition they also won a special award for the Best Performance of a Canadian Composition. Consisting of 30 skilled amateurs, this choir has a remarkably large and varied repertoire.
