The Damn Truth have never aspired to be anything other than what they are, and they come by it naturally. Musically, they exist at the point at which band members’ abilities and interests intersect, And the pieces just kind of fall where they fall, says Tom. Lee-la was singing CSNY's "Almost Cut My Hair" and Tom immediately pulled out his guitar and they jammed all night. And we never really stopped. It comes roaring out of the gate with the propulsive, heavy-bottomed White Lies, which sets the tone for much of the remainder of the record.
