Reginald Grant Lucas (February 25, 1953 – May 19, 2018), known as Reggie Lucas, was an American musician, songwriter and record producer. Lucas is best known for having produced the majority of Madonna's 1983 self-titled debut album, his production work with percussionist Mtume, and for playing with the Miles Davis electric band of the first half of the 1970s. Lucas was born on February 25, 1953 in Flushing, Queens, New York.

Reggie Lucas played for such music great bands like Stevie Wonder, as a guitarist and was active in the Miles Davis group. Reggie's first solo work is graced with Michael Henderson, Anthony Jackson, as well as a young elite group of musicians that participated.

REGGIE LUCAS is a fusion music artist. Reggie Lucas was a jazz guitarist at one time, but he enjoyed far more popularity and exposure as half of a songwriting and production team. Lucas played with Miles Davis and Norman Connors in the early '70s and met percussionist Mtume while touring with Davis. The two later teamed to write and produce hits for several artists, most prominently Stephanie Mills and Phyllis Hyman.
