The band was formed by MC Ride, Zach Hill, and Andy Morin in Sacramento, California during the winter of 2010. In March 2011, they released their eponymous debut EP. Their mixtape Exmilitary followed a month later and was praised by contemporary music critics.

The album touches on more genres than any Death Grips project beforehand (including the hyper-intense electronica of Steroids on Disappointed), and does so while having a consistent feeling of vile grossness. I feel like I need to take a shower while listening to this, which is definitely not a bad thing. There was something so eerie and creepy about that transition from Shitshow to Streaky, it bothers me in a good way. The more calm and mellow tracks like Dilemma and Streaky really made a nice resting time inbetween all the noise and chaos in the album. Those tracks were really enjoyable too. Man there’s just so much to this album for me that it’s overwhelming.

Hot Head sounds like little else on Bottomless Pit, and Inanimate Sensation is nothing like the rest of rock-oriented Jenny Death.
