Not only am I impressed by the masterful quality to this music, but I am moved by it's timelessness, overall fluidity and cohesion. With all due respect, the public should be able to learn and adapt to the musicality and production of this grandeur.

Tinderbox is the seventh studio album by English alternative rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees. It was released on 21 April 1986 by Wonderland and Polydor Records in the United Kingdom and by Geffen Records in the United States. It was the band's first full-length effort recorded with then-new guitarist John Valentine Carruthers; Carruthers had previously only added a few parts on 1984's The Thorn EP. The first recording sessions for this album took place at Hansa by the Wall in Berlin in May 1985.

On the album’s title, Siouxsie explains: It’s called that because everything seemed to happen either around situations or the effect of weather, said Siouxsie in 1986, and the word conjures up something explosive that’s to do with something being combustible, by the fact that the sun’s there and it’s made it that way, it’s not man made

Siouxsie and the Banshees do not fall into either of the two. The album's sound gives the listener a good balance between all sounds. It seems like the band found a nice sweet spot for a well-balnced sound and applied that well when fine-tuning their recordings. The Final track, Land's End, perhaps is one of the album's best examples of sound balance. All of this helps with the consistency of the album. Every song is in the right spot and they blend together well. Tinderbox has proved its worth within the Post-Rock genre time and time again. There are many reasons that make this album great.
