Into It. Over It. is the indie rock solo project of the Chicago, Illinois-based musician Evan Thomas Weiss. It is considered one of the leading acts in the emo revival scene of the 2010s. Evan Weiss grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. His first exposure to the genre of emo was hearing the band Sunny Day Real Estate in the seventh grade while browsing a record shop.

Over I. s Twelve Towns Series. Evan teamed up with six other artists to release six separate split 7 inches each limited to 500. Now that all of them are sold out we are pleased to bring you the Into It. tracks from the 7 inch series completely remastered and in one location. Twelve Towns will be released on August 9th, 2011 and the release includes a bonus track that wasn't part of the 7 inch series titled "Westmont, NJ". The vinyl version of this release will come with five bonus acoustic tracks which were recorded as a separate Nervous Energies Session

Recording under the name Into It. Over I. Weiss has already dedicated an entire album to the American city (Twelve Towns), in addition to writing countless songs named after geographical positions both general ( A New North-Side Air, Connecticut Steps ) and painstakingly specific ( Midnight: Carroll Street, the entirety of a split LP with Koji named after five small Chicago neighborhoods). Even a cassette- only covers EP manages to include The One AM Radio’s Ghost on the East Coast. And that’s just the song titles. That the emergence of Into It. and its subsequent fixation with spatial exploration - the name of a song on Intersections, if you’re keeping count - seems to neatly coincide with Evan’s move to Chicago in 2008 is more conspicuous than coincidental. We tend to think more about place when we’re feeling displaced.
