Excel/Shrine is a punk rock and Crossover thrash compilation album released by Malicious Vinyl. The track "Unenslaved", performed by Excel, was later included in the single Excel and the album Seeking Refuge, and "Sadistic Love", performed by Shrine, in the album Psycha. Malicious produced a music video for the two songs for both bands.

Noisy and aggressive, Shrine's delivery teeters on the edge of punk, but the occasional ballad and sudden mood shifts - which include jazz, speed metal, and even Middle Eastern melodicism - make Shrine hard to label. Xan stretches out nicely on tracks like "Bigger Than Life" and "Sadistic Love" (sadomasochistic themes appear on several Psycha numbers), as does Hufsteter throughout the record with some complicated single-note flurries.

American Psycho is the second studio album by the Misfits. Released May 13, 1997, it was the first to be recorded and released without the band's founder and former leader Glenn Danzig. Bassist Jerry Only, after years of litigation, reached a settlement with Danzig and was granted the rights to use the band's name and image to record and perform. The album also marked the addition of singer Michale Graves and Dr. Chud on drums.
