I was/am such a huge Pezband fan. I saw them a bunch of times in the early 80's. This one is fantastic. Not only does it have the excellent Laughing in the Dark; it also has the great 30 Seconds Over Schaumburg live ep. I can't wait to drive around when it warms up with the top down jamming to this cd. I guess being on a tiny label didn't help them. They released 3 albums, Pezband, Laughing in the Dark and Cover To Cover. This one, it's second and probably best album, is like the others a real POWER POP GEM. It is very sad that bands like this, that were better than most of the rest, didn't make it bigger in the 70's or later. Now I feel an increasing interest in groups like Pezband, Artful Dodger, Raspberries and many other highly underrated bands of the 70's.

Pezband's eponymously titled first album was recorded in early 1977 at The House of Music in New Jersey, with E-Street sax player Clarence Clemmons, synthesist Larry Fast, and jazz trumpeter Randy Brecker making guest appearances.
