Jan Guillou er svensk forfatter og journalist. Han startet sin journalistkarriere som reporter i Fib/Aktuellt i 1966. Derfra gikk han til Folket i Bild/Kulturfront, hvor han blant annet avslørte den såkalte IB-affæren. Ved siden av sitt omfattende forfatterskap har han siden den gang arbeidet for ulike aviser, tidsskrifter og tv-stasjoner. Sin litterære debut hadde han i 1971 med romanen Om krigen kommer.
