Delroy Wilson - Just Because. Just because you left and said goodbye Do you think that I will sit and cry? Even if my heart should tell me so Darling, I would rather let you go. Just because you want someone who's kind, With a heart as good and pure as mine But before I let this thing happen to me Darling, I would rather swim the sea. I know you think you're smart Just going around breaking lovers' hearts.

I've hesitated a long time before purchasing my first Pete Jones album, because he's got quite some ambiguous reputation as a "Genesis" epigone. Well, after listening closely to "The Depths of Winter", I think this suspicion isn't really substantiated. Granted, he clearly draws on the 70's symphonic rock heritage, but not to a greater extent than many others counted among the typical representatives of the neo-prog genre.
About Delroy Willson. Delroy Wilson was one of Jamaica's most soulful vocalists, and over a 40-year career the singer unleashed a flood of hits and a multitude of masterpieces. Born on October 5, 1948, in the Kingston neighborhood of Trenchtown, Wilson's phenomenal talent would be his ticket out of the ghetto, and his discovery by producer Coxsone Dodd in 1962 would change the path of Jamaican music . 1976 brought another smash, a sublime cover of Bob Marley's "I'm Still Waiting," cut for Lloyd Charmers. A stellar new album Sarge, and the Tony Robinson produced Greatest Hits both arrived this same year. And the hits just kept coming.
