Queen - A Night At The Opera (1975).

A Night at the Opera is the fourth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 21 November 1975 by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and by Elektra Records in the United States. Produced by Roy Thomas Baker and Queen, it was reportedly the most expensive album ever recorded at the time of its release. The album's title is taken from the Marx Brothers film of the same name.

Notably, it was the gold that established the basis for Opera having been given a go. The band dealt with the bad deal directly, and the remaining wounds seemed to have been healed by their passionate work for their art’s sake in the studio, with many thanks to a new manager, LoneRanger (who was also Elton John’s). The album’s Marx Brothers film movie moniker, ‘A Night at the Opera’, came about whilst the band watched the movie (a comedy) one night during a recording session. The follow-up, A Night at the Opera’s sister-album,, made it a Marx Brothers titular pairing.

This painting is the only night scene from this series, and is a masterful rendition of the play of lights on dark and wet streets. Pissarro neither signed nor exhibited it during his lifetime. The Boulevard Montmartre at Night.

Boulevard Montmartre, la nuit Camille Pissarro Oil on canvas, 1897 National Gallery, London .  . A. This is an Impressionist view of the Boulevard Montmartre in Paris, painted in the evening light. Lights from shops and cafes radiate out onto the wet pavement, and carriages line up like taxis, waiting for the show at the Moulin Rouge (around the corner) to finish. Other Parisians are walking along the pavement, engaging in the new pastime of window-shopping. Similarly to Claude Monet‘s paintings of Rouen Cathedral, Pissarro painted this landscape fourteen times, in varying weather conditions.
