Really crazy good old stuf from the screaming orgies of the 90s. This stands the test of time, I play this till today, mixed with new pearls. Its not aged its a dj challenge to show its power. Yess I love Lazerium is eternal deepness but also the rest are the holy grails, I remember when copies were sold 100 GBP+...but suddenly a lot of new copies appeared on the marketplace and they got cheaper. Beside this fact the strenght of quality is like dropping bombs on floors in flames. Kisses, Rabbit!

Bought CD mainly for "Lazerium". Most of the other tracks are outdated techno, acid and UK breakbeat tracks. Most for my ear are passable except for track 11 which is godly awful (0/5). You really can't compare track 14's brilliantness with the other tracks in this comp. For me, "Lazerium" has aged very little. While the majority of the other tracks sound quite old.

The Rabbit City Compilation is not like any other compilation out there, this is a truly legend. One of the most sought after releases of Rabbit City and the whole UK acid techno cd-output is this - the unique chance to listen to the pearls of Michael the rabbit Wells in cristal clear audio format - an excess of awesome acid techno rave sound we like so much from the early years where the development of the hot stuff took place. The sound reminds on the worldwide smashing breakbeat/acid/techno (a lot of sample used) mayhems of Edge Records, no wonder that Matthewman was the head behind this.As a trumpet player he knew that techno is not only bits and bytes but loves sometimes be connected with eyeviews out of other music genres, likely been sampled here into. That is/was the way of success, connecting new with old, connecting breakbeat with 4 to the floor, basswalls, audio flashes, creating massive power for the screaming crowds 1992-1994/95 rocking down those places all over the spinning blue planet which today are history and most of the younger ravers dream that they only would had been a part of.Every track is a hit on here - back in the days this was the absolute rave mayhem.Digital Domain's "I Need Relief (S.F. Acid Mix)" is exclusive to this cd.Maybe the person who wrote the other review was and is not so much into the typical sound of Rabbit City, because the awesome deep Lazerium track by Damon Wild is not a good example for the sound the Rabbit City Records stands for. All tracks are crazy good - this compilation is a jewel. Such frequency of 1st class tracks is very rare. There are not much similar releases outthere...Put the disc into the player, lean back and get an idea about the wild life in the past. Wild and fast.

Agreed. Rabbit City releases were era-defining.Connoisseurs of early 90's hardcore and techno won't need to be told how influential some of these tracks were. Hearing these tracks in crystal-clear format is very exciting.

If you can find it cheap, you need this comp for the last track "Lazerium" by Damon Wild, it's a very good deep ambient techno and the only stand out track in this entire CD. This is the only comp where you can find this track. Here's the release page with a nice review of this track. On the CD the artist name is incorrectly named after the EP's title.http://www.discogs.com/Various-Syquest-EP/release/43210
