Originally released in 1973, Ham is one of the last albums of Shocking Blue. It was the last album to feature unique guitarist and songwriter Robbie van Leeuwen, who wrote all the songs. Standouts include the sunshine-infused rock ditty "Time Slips Away", "Wild Rose" and "I Saw You In June". As any fan knows, Shocking Blue's not-so-secret weapon was the one-of-a-kind deep, throaty, powerhouse vocals from lead singer Mariska Veres. Shocking Blue is the debut studio album by the Dutch rock band Shocking Blue. It was released in November 1967 on Polydor. In Germany, the record was released in 1970 under the title Beat With Us. This was the only album with Fred de Wilde on lead vocal. Mariska Veres replaced de Wilde in the band's next album, At Home. All songs written by Robbie van Leeuwen, except where noted.
