Imagine Dragons' Evolve becomes the first album to generate at least three No. 1s on Billboard's Alternative Songs airplay chart this decade, as "Whatever It Takes" rises 2-1 on the March 17-dated tally. The song follows the 13-week reign of the set's lead single, "Believer" (beginning April 1, 2017), and the three-week rule of "Thunder" (starting Nov. 4). The band has now led the chart for nearly a third of the past year (17 of the past 52 weeks). Whatever" is Imagine Dragons' fourth Alternative Songs No. 1 overall

This album comes a close second, in my opinion, to that album. The variety of songs are pleasing to hear with some new refreshing sounds, but it is still Imagine Dragons. I can honestly say I can listen through the whole album without an issue, and I think that's hard to come by nowadays. Imagine Dragons with a new sound every time. From their pop-esqu 'Night Visions' to their indie 'Smoke and Mirrors' albums. Evolve brings a fresh perspective and a sound I'd like to hear a little bit more of in the future but can't wait for their next experiment. Evolve is a futuristic, easy to listen to album. Imagine Dragons has never been a complex band with their lyrics, and that works wonders for them. This album, while keeping the futuristic vibe throughout the cd, has harder rock with Believer, and the softer rock with Rise up and Thunder.
