The Enid produce a stellar performance with Live at Town Hall, Birmingham. Basically, what we get is an amazing journey in 2 parts. The first half of the concert is most of The Enid's latest album, Journey's End. Whether you're in it for the classic rock or an epic orchestral feast, this one's got both. I will tell you right now that "Malacandra" will absolutely knock your socks off.
Album Name Live at Town Hall Birmingham. 版公司 Operation Seraphim. Other productions from The Enid. Journey’s End. Tears of the Sun.
The Enid at a live show in 1979 on the Touch Me tour (L-R: Dave Storey, Terry Pack, Steve Stewart, Tony Freer, Willie Gilmour, Francis Lickerish, Robert John Godfrey). The Enid began recording at about the same time as punk rock burst upon the music scene. Godfrey has said that he always regarded The Enid's ironic takes on classical music as being just as anarchic as anything by the Sex Pistols, but this did not translate into either musical or commercial recognition, despite their work being played frequently by Tommy Vance on BBC Radio One's Friday Rock Show . The Enid at Hammersmith 30 October 1987 (official bootleg) (1987). Live at Town Hall, Birmingham (2010). Live with The CBSO at Symphony Hall (2012). Live and Unreleased (a 2015 concert and live tracks from 2014).
This live recording made on April 16th 2010 is a memento of a future-changing event ushering in a new chapter for The Enid. This is how it was on the night; no airbrushing - rather an honest record of a shy self effacing and humble band giving their all to their fans. For technical reasons, this CD set contains a different mix from that on sound track of the DVD "The Enid - Live at Town Hall Birmingham". The DVD soundtrack is more dynamic, designed for a quiet listening environment)
