Press: Dustin Zahn returns with his first full solo EP since his 2014 album "Monoliths"! He delivers a collection of four new direct and hypnotic cuts inspired by jams from his recent live sets. Make no mistake: these are straight forward techno tools designed to take a set in any direction you see fit. The Ascension sessions occurred when Zahn was holed up at a hotel in Ibiza last year during one particularly rainy week. For Zahn, it was hard to deny the tribal-influenced soundtrack that often dominates the vibe of the white island. In result, he set out to re-imagine Techno’s ‘tribal’ formula from the late 90s and early 00s with a more contemporary mindset. The result was a handful of ‘drum tracks’ created by synths.
