Best of the Blues Brothers is the fourth and final Blues Brothers album released before John Belushi's death in 1982. It is a compilation album released by Atlantic Records on November 30, 1981. Along with tracks from the first three albums, Briefcase Full of Blues, The Blues Brothers: Music from the Soundtrack and Made in America, it includes unreleased live versions of "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love", "Rubber Biscuit", and "Expressway to Your Heart".

By 1977 the bees became the "Blues Brothers," and in 1978 came the inevitable album, which soared to the top of the charts. With "Animal House" cleaning up at the box office, the next stage was inevitable. When "The Blues Brothers" movie finally arrived in theaters in the troubled summer of 1980 both Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi had long since ankled SNL and left their TV roots far behind (or so they thought, by 1981 Belushi's movie stratospheric movie career was already on a downswing and he was exploring a return to TV, according to Bob Woodward's. Just about the best movie soundtrack of all time. Of the online services I looked at, none of them had all of the songs that the CD does which is no doubt a licensing issue.
