Description

Hello, Goodbye was selected as the Beatles’ single for the 1967 Christmas season, their first release since Epstein’s death. A dismayed Lennon pushed for his composition I Am the Walrus to be the A-side instead, but he was overruled by McCartney and George Martin, on the grounds that Hello, Goodbye was the more commercial of the two tracks. In Britain, Parlophone issued Hello, Goodbye backed by I Am the Walrus on 24 November 1967, with the catalogue number R 5655. Within a day of its release, the record had sold over 300,000 copies there. It went on to top the UK’s official singles chart for seven weeks, through to 23 January 1968, giving the Beatles their longest run at number 1 on that chart since She Loves You in 1963.

When The Beatles began recording what would become their third single to be released in 1967, its working title was ‘Hello, Hello’. The single sat at N. in both the UK and America for the first three weeks of 1968. Paul directed the promotional film for ‘Hello, Goodbye’, remarking later: Directing a film is something that everyone always wants to get into. It was something I’d always been interested in, until I actually tried i. .

I Am the Walrus Lyrics. I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly I'm crying. Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come Corporation tee-shirt, stupid bloody Tuesday Man, you've been a naughty boy, you let your face grow long. I am the egg man, they are the egg men I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob. I Am the Walrus’ was made up of three distinctly different songs–the first is the beginning of the song, which John was given the idea of by hearing a distant police siren. The second song was about John sitting in his garden at home ("sitting in an English garde. I Am The Walrus ended up on the B-side of Hello, Goodbye and on the Magical Mystery Tour EP. Lennon complained about becoming Paul’s backup band, even though their previous two singles contained Lennon-penned A-sides.

Help! Helter Skelter. Here Comes the Sun. Here, There And Everywhere. I Am the Walrus (оригинал The Beatles). Я - Морж {1} (перевод Psychea). I am he as you are he as you are me. Я - это он; он - это ты; ты - это я. And we are all together. See how they run like pigs from a gun.

I Am the Walrus" is a song by the Beatles released in November 1967. It was featured in the Beatles' television film Magical Mystery Tour in December of that year, as a track on the associated British double EP of the same name and its American counterpart LP, and was the B-side to the number 1 hit single "Hello, Goodbye"
