I know MAW since 1992 at this time They produced many fabulous mixes and in 1993 released the first debut album “Masters At Work – The Album” many stomp hits mixes born from there… and in fact they´re give a big support to the underground scene house music, but, I can not say the same about de second album “Our Time Is Coming” for me, doing this way this album should be called “Our Time is Over”. The unique truly good tracks : MAW Expensive (A Tribute To Fela) and Lean On Me with James Ingram was edited. Especially, Lean On me 12 mix was never released in any compilation CD until today (what a shame). The other tracks by this album are very predictable. Conheço Masters At Work desde meados de 1992. Eles foram protagonistas de muitos remixes de sucesso na época, principalmente depois do lançamento do seu primeiro álbum “Masters At Work – The Album” que contribuiu ainda mais para a projeção da dupla, porém, não posso dizer o mesmo sobre o segundo álbum “Our Time Is Coming”, em minha opinião, seu pior trabalho, com faixas 4x4 muito chatas e previsíveis e pra piorar; as 2 únicas e boas faixas que fariam valer o álbum foram editadas: MAW Expensive (A Tribute To Fela) e Lean On Me, com vocais de James Ingram.Lean On me 12 mix nunca foi lançada em nenhuma compilação em CD até hoje (uma vergonha para eles que não o fizeram e uma frustração para nós, ouvintes).

totally agree this is not one of the best that maw has done after the countless gems they produced or remixed. Let's hope the new stuff they are working on is a trip back to greatness instead of the boring stuff they both are producing now.

Some peerless production of contemporary NYC house music on this collection. Also some mainstream pop music sensibilities coming through strongly on a number of the tracks.

Packed with classic MAW tracks and the vocalists they helped make famous, this is a superb collection from the masters of soulful New York house, Louie Vega and Kenny Dope. Alongside the vocals of diva India on Backfired, we have Stephanie Miles seeking a Latin Lover in a wonderful piece of jazzy, funky, summery house. Luis Salinas' guitar antics and soothing tones make Pienso En Ti one of the coolest laid back latino tracks I've heard: Meanwhile Roy Ayers keeps things similarly chilled and funky on the title tune, Our Time Is Coming. The afro-tinged vocals of MAW Expensive raise the vibe, while Work takes us in a firmer, more chunky direction. Finally the Masters ask us to listen to Michele's Message in memory of the victims of 9/11, and indeed it proves to be a surreal, ethereal experience. Buy this double pack now.

If you think it's too expensive to buy the 6x12" album, then go get it on normal LP (2x12") or cd 'cause this is just one of those must haves for any deep house lover.
