Hum : You'd Prefer an Astronaut,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен.

You'd Prefer an Astronaut is the third studio album by the American alternative rock band Hum, released on April 11, 1995 by RCA Records as their major label debut. The title of the album is a lyric lifted from the song "I'd Like Your Hair Long".

Like the song itself, then, You'd Prefer an Astronaut is, for all the similar love of psychedelic volume in service of emotion, its own beast, most specifically because of the singing. Talbott's lead vocals are much more restrained than Billy Corgan's aggro screams, bearing more immediate comparison with, say, Mark Kozelek of the Red House Painters or Stephen Immerwahr of Codeine.

Anyone have any word regarding Matt properly remastering this and releasing it through Earth Analog? On one hand, I don't want to support SRC, yet on the other I don't have the money to throw at an original when one pops up.

The 1st press U.K. limited edition is by far the best pressing of this lp. I have owned them all and only kept the U.K. press on dedicated. Seek that one out.

Snagged a copy of this and boy, am I glad I did. Sorry to all you poor souls who got taken on that wretched SRC Vinyl pressing. That label is routinely awful and you should never buy anything from them.

As of March 2014, Matt is still releasing OP copies in batches on an irregular basis via the Earth Analog webstore for $35 each (including the signed Jay Ryan art print). Visit the Earth Analog website for sale schedules.
