This is Joe Pass' first album after being released from Synanon House. If you're interested in Pass' first recordings, check out the reissue of "Sounds Of Synanon House" under Pass' name. That session has some surprisingly good blowing on it. This "Catch Me" set has been remastered in 2009, and the sound has been improved. Everything is crisp and clean without any harshness. The 6 page booklet contains an essay on Pass and the struggles he overcame, and the music.
