They were active from 1962 until 1971.

Ray Conniff is known for his use of voices as instruments, and he often embeds his vocal chorus in the instrumental mix so that it is no more a focal point than the strings. Young at Heart, on the other hand, puts the chorus right out in front, performing with more energy and personality than Conniff normally requires, and the result is not too far afield from the sound of Mitch Miller.
