The group included five boys, all in their early to mid teens. I recently returned from London England where I finally got to see and hear the play "The Jersey boys" produced by the genius Bob Gaudio. The "sound" that made the Four Seasons famous a lifetime ago was rekindled for my longing to hear it again. So when I returned I looked for my albums in vain and bought this "The Very Best of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons" to compare with the original Broadway Recording I purchased at the Prince Edward theater in London. Comparing the album to the cast recording: the former is a pieced together album from recordings at different times over thirty years. Not all are at the same volume and have to be adjusted slightly. However, compared to the quality of the latter, it is excellent.
