Stephan Remmler (born 25 October 1946) is a German singer, musician, and composer. He is the last living member of the German band Trio. He performed most of the vocals for the band's songs. He was a member of the band alongside Gert Krawinkel, who played the guitar, and Peter Behrens, who played the drums. After the split of Trio in 1987, Remmler continued his musical career as solo artist, releasing various singles and albums until 1996. His work contains Schlager and drinking songs as well
Your enjoyment of Remmler's first solo album will largely depend on your tolerance of simple schlager songs. If the idea of a hefty men's choir singing the chorus to a marching band song makes you cringe, it is advisable to entirely stay away from this album. Still, "Keine Sterne in Athen" (co-produced by Trio's producer Klaus Voormann) is witty enough to draw the listener in, and the other songs are curious enough to make the album an interesting, if not entirely satisfying experience.

Stephan Remmler is a German pop singer who is best known for being the singer of Neue Deutsche Welle sensation Trio. Several of his songs, especially the minimalistic "Da da da," were hugely successful, and even though Remmler's popularity faded somewhat at the end of the '80s, he remained active and continued to release music. Remmler was born on October 26, 1946, in Witten, Germany, and grew up in Bremerhaven. On the album, Remmler flirted with schlager music, children's songs, and even volksmusik, and it included two hit singles - the sarcastic pop song "Keine Sterne in Athen," which stayed in the German charts for 17 weeks, and the funny surprise hit "Alles Hat ein Ende (Nur die Wurst Hat Zwei)" (Everything Has an End [Only a Sausage Has.
