When I play this on the headphones or in the car, the recording levels appear too low for soft crescendo at times. So, when I adjust the volume the full crescendo orchestral accompaniment then becomes too loud. It's like the sound mixer was inexperienced or just plain asleep. If background noise is an issue, switch to a different sort of music. I still give this performance high marks, because I've enjoyed classical recordings for about 35 years, and the best composers employ soft and loud crescendo as compositional drama.
